National Network Nursing in General Practice Forum 2010

One of the key activities to be undertaken by AGPN under the Nursing in General Practice (NiGP) Program is to host a two day annual forum for Practice Nurse Program Officers and other interested staff. This forum will be our fourth event.

The key aims for the forum are to:

  • showcase nationally relevant NiGP initiatives and models;
  • share knowledge skills and resources;
  • coach and collaborate with general practice networks to build their capacity to support nursing in general practice
  • build support networks amongst general practice networks (GPNs) NiGP program officers nationally;
  • provide an opportunity to review the strengths and weaknesses of the NiGP program and
  • prioritise future activities.

The 2010 NiGP Network Forum will be held in Melbourne on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 February at the Sebel Albert Park.

Funding is avaliable to cover the travel and accommodation costs and registration fees for one delegate from each network member. To be eligible for supported travel and accommodation, delegates are required to book prior to Monday 30 November 2009. GPNs can send more than one representative however this will be at their own cost.
